Sneak Preview Of Reviews

I'll be reviewing Detective Comics, Civil War: Front Line, Jonah Hex, and Wonder Woman on Monday.

I'll also be spending most of the weekend contemplating how truly awesome Action Philosophers is and how it was the best 8 bucks I've spent in a month.

Action Philosophers = Sweeeeeeeeeeet.

I'm just sayin'.

I met The Action Philosophers at Wizard last weekend. My approach was "ah, this is a comic for a librarian to buy!". Cool guys. I got the World Domination comic- Marx, Kabbalah..

I am soooo happy I picked up the Action Philosopher's Giant Sized Thing. It was probably the best comic per dollar spent ratio I've ever bought. It was quite simply fantastic.

It started out sort of sketchy for me but with a simply fantastic take on Plato. As I was reading the collection I wasn't so sure about it. Do I need the life and times of philosophers or their philosophies summed up? There are all those Philosopher X for Beginners books out that sum up their philosophies as comics but this is something else entirely. It's probably the best into to... book I've ever read on anything ever.

It's simply fun and informative. I'm now pimping this book to anyone I know (who reads). It's probably the most enjoyable thing I've read so far in 2006. Honestly. It's probably one of the best ways to kill a bit of time - you'll be entertained and get a bit of trivia or "hmmph, I had no idea" moments, which I appreciate from "non-fiction."
