One-Liner: Friday Edition
Reviews this weekend (no, really! I mean it this time!); meantime, not having been reading Black Panther, I've been following all this hoo-ha in the comicsblogoweb about BP's marriage to Storm, and how it apparently is making for some sucky comics. And that got me thinking...
5 years from now, Joe Quesada will decide with a straight face that Marvel's most eligible bachelor Tony Stark needs to settle down and get married, because "there are some great Iron Man stories that naturally come out of Tony being married --- stories that you can't tell with a single Tony Stark" (or some shit like that); what superpowered being will Stark tie the knot with?

Squirrel Girl?
Galactus.
He's the only one more manly then Tony.
She-Hulk. Who will then quit her job and become a stay-at-home wife.
The Wasp, a natural outgrowth of their brief affair in the 1980s.
Since Black Widow's been done, I thought Madam Masque... you get the same criminal background, the tension of impending betrayal, the thrill of dating a bad girl. Then, when Joey Q decides no more interesting stories can be told with a married Stark, her exit is already built in.
Anaconda. 'cause we all like to get a little freaky.
Easy, Emma Frost, oh yeah that's right. They already got a back history, least from what little bit you got from X-Men CW #1
Warbird. It's the thigh-highs that do it.
*dingdingding* to boredyesterday, and making a huge deal of a single issue story that everyone else pretty much forgot to make Janet Van Dyne a Elizabeth Taylor.
Ms. Marvel. Claremont had Tony lusting after Carol back in the day - not that past affiliations have anything to do with how Marvel thinks these days.
Marvel reverses it's previous editorial fiat and has Tony marry Steve Rogers after their passionate kiss at the conclusion of Civil War.
Every book is better with Wolverine.
the updated madame Masque, whitney frost, who clearly should be brought back, if only to send the aging and institutionalized Jasper sitwell over the freakin' bend
Ultimate She-Hulk, just so Quesada can do the Marvel/Ultimate crossover he so obviously wants.
Based on the weird ickiness of Single White Iron Man in Civil Bore #4, I think we might see Tony marrying Thor...
DUFF-MAN!
